How this works
Where our prices come from
Every figure on this site is either a price somebody observed or an estimate we built from observed prices. Nothing is invented. Here is what that means in practice.

Fares and nightly rates are researched, not quoted
We collect public flight and hotel search results for a full year of departure dates, then take the middle of what each month cost. Not the cheapest day, because that's usually an awkward itinerary that's already gone. So the number is one you can plan around. It's not a quote, and what you finally pay depends on when you book and what's left.
Every estimate carries its date
Research is a snapshot, and a snapshot ages. So each figure says when it was captured and which departures it covers. A month we haven't researched shows as blank instead of being filled with a guess. If a number looks confident, that's because somebody measured it.
Booking happens with a partner, never here
We do not sell tickets or rooms. When you are ready, we hand you to a company that does, and only a real bookable offer ever gets a Book button. A researched estimate gets a link to go and check the live price instead, because it would be dishonest to attach a booking button to a figure we merely observed.
What we will not do
We do not make up places, prices or reviews to fill a page. Where a city has not been researched, the list is empty and says so. An empty list is a worse page and a better answer.
